The grain prices are higher because of the corn.they are using corn to make ethinol in gasoline,so we get to suffer for the gas companies again.

Layer pellets 8.99

gamebird pellets 11.69

gamebird crumbles 14.49

I am paying Poulin.. 10.90 for egg layer plus, 9.60 for grower crumbles, and 4.50 per bale of shavings delivered and stacked in my shed.  He comes every 2 wks.
where are you buying grower crumbles for 9.60 ?

Since she mentioned Poulin.

My local Blue Seal store is charging $11.75 for 50# of layer pellets. My favorite lumber supply store charges only $10 for the same Blue Seal 50# of layer pellets! The problem is that my lumber supplier is 30 miles away (instead of 6), so i have to figure gas to go there. But if I am buying lumber and other stuff, I will get grain too while i'm there. Fortunately I have friends buying my surplus eggs from me, and that's covering my feed costs.

I have been buying all my grain from Blue Seal in Milford I have given up on any other location around me. The grain prices have drastically changed from week to week it just is not worth traveling all around.
