First off, I think this site is great! I know I'm new, but I do have a thought that could be helpful to folks who, like me, have slow dial up. To post a picture one has to go to another site, post the picture, then come back here and paste the link. Well, by the time I do all that over an hour has gone by, IF I even get the site that hosts pictures to come up, and IF my picture even gets uploaded to it. It just ends up being a terrible waste of time to try it, and I do literally mean "try," because often that is all that gets done. So I was wondering if there could be a button on the "New Thread" box so we can download pictures straight off our computers just like the one that allows us to do so for our profile pictures? That way us slow pokers can resize our pictures on our photo programs to the size we know will upload fastest, and then post them that way. Cuts down on a lot of time, and we can be more assured of sharing our pictures. It is a bummer for me not to be able to show off some of my chickens even if they are uglier than everyone else's! HA!

Thanks for the consideration. :)

PS: I do have a Photobucket account, and seldom can I get it to come up on my computer.

Have you tried to upload them to here to see if it works better for you than photobucket? I know I have issues with photobucket at times even with the dsl.
Would love to see pictures of your chickens!!

If you post them to your gallery- then you can import them to your post anytime you want... and with the firefox browser you even have a selection that says " add image from your gallery" right on your post window. Click it and your whole gallery of pics pops up for your selection. The direct link -puter to post- was removed sometime ago. About the time I joined. Not sure of all the issues with that. JJ could prob explain that a lil better.

Mine has two rows of selections( blue boxes) 14 on top- 11 on bottom row.
The last selection to the right on the bottom row has a " G" for Gallery.
Do you have that on yours? If not- check for a firefox update maybe.

:couch: Hey Johnnyjack, my sincerest apologies, friend! As usual, I engaged my yap before I fully understood the situation. Everybody who knows me says it is the one thing I'm good at. But I'm tickled to death to see how you got it fixed up! Looks good, and I'm looking forward to giving it a whirl first chance I get.

Well, I hope you can overlook me being a dingaling once in awhile. In the mean time, go ahead and :spanking: I deserve it. ohno:)

Johnnyjack, I got it figured out! Took me a couple tries to get it to show up in a post, but it is very easy once I did it. I appreciate the how to link, and I actually think the way you got it set up is one of the better picture posting programs I've seen on a forum. Thanks again!

Aw, I didn't think you were sounding harsh at all. I appreciate the help. My wife says I need LOTS of it. :rotfl:
